Very clever title, right 😉 But do you notice in living spaces these days, there is no set rule when it comes to having matched or unmatched furniture? Usually, one bought a “set” which consisted of a sofa, love seat, coffee table, end or side table, all in the same hue, shade, material, look. You get stuck with it, until your next furniture upgrade or maybe even never! To some, its probably the easiest to do. Its a look that is very dated and incredibly, boring, though.
Loving how in these rooms, there are chairs that are coupled with different styles, but the look marries cohesively by way of color, fabric, style, or accessories. The mix of antique or vintage, with more modern chairs is one look we are re-creating in our own abode. Those Eames chairs have forever been on my wish list, but replicas have popped up, to my wallet’s delight! Also, our living room has a lot of light but its adjacent to the dining area which has no windows of its own, so I love the idea of adding pieces with glass or chrome, so the light can bounce onto the next room. I especially love those X tables and chairs, below. Will definitely post a photo once our room comes together!
The Eames chairs are sitting next to the fireplace, below, have forever been on my wishlist:
The chrome X tables and chairs help light bounce around, making a room brighter.
