Even after a few seasons, I am still inspired by Alexander McQueen’s F/W 2008 RTW collection. It appealed firstly, to the little dreamer in me, since the collection was inspired by a 100-year-old tree that grew in the designer’s country home. And secondly, it was just too beautiful to ever forget. Going back to the archives, though, I saw a few trends that have gone full throttle lately: military, strong shoulders, big open knits. Before I even laid eyes on the collection, though, I read Sarah Mower’s review– which you should too!– and its equally poetic (i heart her writing). Check out the full collection, just for inspiration purposes, here.
